Fisher-Price Shake 'n Go! Disney/Pixar Cars 2 - Mater

Doesn't work on the World Grand Prix track
I purchased this specifically to use on the Shake 's Go World Grand Prix track and was very disappointed to find that it doesn't work at all. Mater is too top heavy to make it up the small hill and then goes up on just his back wheels and tips over. At first I thought I simply misunderstood and he wasn't supposed to be compatible with the track, but then I looked at the back of the track's box and there is a picture of all the other Shake 'n Go cars with a caption saying to shake them and race them.

If you're not interested in using this with the Grand Prix track, I don't think you'll have any problems at all. It is a sturdy toy that runs well.
Mater shake n go
My grandkids really enjoy this car. It is very durable and the sound of Mater's voice is good also.
A Winner!
A hit at Christmas! My 2 year old grandson played with this and the Lightning McQueen Shake 'n Go car all day. Despite being dropped and banged on the floor, it held up and seems to be very durable. He loved it!

Cool Vehicle That's Identical To the Real Thing

Should have been made of metal.
Front loader broke off after 2 weeks. It seems bruder toys are very detailed but can't stand up to real world play.
a bit disappointed
I bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. I read previous reviews from other parents. What a disappointment...the truck is not sturdy at all and is not even made of what I would consider "durable" plastic. I know that with minimum play, this truck will be banished to the island of the misfit toys. Save your money.

BluTrack 18' Starter Set

A big hit in (and out) of our house!
I had never heard of "BluTrack" a couple of months ago, but when my soon to be 4yo son informed me he wanted a "race car party", I started researching the best tracks out there to race Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars on. I fully expected to buy a run-of-the mill Hot Wheels track at Toys R Us, but when I asked some veteran moms about their top picks, they pointed me towards BluTrack instead. It seemed like a lot of money to drop on a pretty simplistic looking toy, but I have to say, it has been a huge hit with both my kid & my hubby. Like the previous poster, it was a little "bumpy" coming out of the box, but we had no problem softening it up. It worked fine as is in the house, but when I moved it outside for the big race car party, the sun warmed it up and it got plenty smooth.

At our party, the track was a hit again with both the kids & their dads. I foresee getting a lot of use out of it, especially as my son gets older and can come up with different configurations on...
Overpriced for What you Get
We purchased this for our 3 yo grandson, who is car-crazy, after reading the many positive reviews. It is a no frills product and somewhat difficult to use. It is just a rolled up two laned track that is fastened, in our case, to the window with a sturdy suction cup. I can only imagine how difficult it might be to unroll in cold weather, as it never completely uncurls in our temperate climate. Our grandson does enjoy shooting his hotwheels down the incline, but any loops have been disappointing. For half the price, I would be very happy, but over $50 for this seems way overpriced.
Excellent Toy
We purchased this for our 2.5 year old who is showing an interest in cars. I was very surprised at the quality and durability of the toy, even with our child trying to walk on it and slide down it himself. We are letting him do his own thing with it and it is quickly becoming one of his favorite activities. It is of much higher quality than any competing products I've had experience with. We paid around $33 when we bought this, which seems fairly competitive for this length of track.

I would recommend this product.

Bruder Toys Man Side Loading Garbage Truck Orange

Great truck, and very durable!
Our son has loved this truck. He uses small Lego bricks as garbage, and they pass through the auger into the truck's box with no problem. The arm extends from the truck's side and grabs the garbage can. The can is dragged over to the very side of the truck, then lifted and tilted over the opening. The lifting mechanism is very cleverly designed so that no 'garbage' will fall from the can until the lifting knob is slightly over-rotated, thereby opening the garbage can lid. Sounds complex, but it is well built, and has lasted us a year so far. The Bruder line is very tough, and the plastic is almost indestructible.

My two year old grandson's favorite days are Tues and Friday when the garbage truck comes by. The garbage man stops and talks to him. I (grandma) bought the side loader to match the "real one". The two year old figured out how the can attached, I couldn't!!
It was expensive so I shared the cost with my son. My grandson already has the Brueder dump truck and it is played with daily so I knew even though it was expensive, it was durable and good value.
It was deliver promptly in a HUGE box carefully padded.
Fantastic - sturdy
My son usually destroys toys in seconds. But the Bruder Garbage Truck is so sturdy/solid that after my sons first tantrum of the day, where he through the truck against the wall...it survived!!! I am so happy with a toy that is made to last. No cheap plastic parts, real tyres. Excellent product.

Cars Micro Drifters Super Speedway Playset

Quit working as well in two days!
My 4 year old got this toy for his birthday. I always wait to buy things after I've read reviews, except for this one time. Since it was a newer item, only one review was available which was a good review. He loved it for two days. Although it was very loud, he was having fun! Two days later, I thought the batteries must have already been dying as the cars were no longer making it up the ramp after passing through the motor that gives them a push. I changed the batteries, but it still isn't working like it did the first day. The motor makes a horrible dying sound, the more cars you put on, the more they just get jammed in the motor area, and my child has not touched it the past two weeks! I really hate toys that are junk! He is now back to playing with his regular Disney Cars.
Cheap pos!
My son got this or a birthday present. Looked cute opened it up the plastic is the all to familiar cheap flimsy NEVER STAY TOGETHER PLASTIC. I'm getting tired of it. It's not worth the money. I think we should take a stand send all the cheaply made toys back to the manufacture, and pass the word on to stop buying them until they are made with some pride and quality!
My kid loves this toy
First, my kid has been obsessed with little cars for years. when the cars micro drifters came out I didn't wait for christmas for the track set and a pack of each of the little cars.

He has played with this track set quite a bit over the past month that he has it and loves it. We haven't had any issues, we usually have pretty good durability with the cars track sets.

Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Power Tower Trackset

VERY fun track set!
I hesitantly bought this at a large toy store on a whim. Before opening it, I checked Amazon's price and reviews. After reading the reviews, I *almost* took it back. Instead, I decided to try it (at the pleading of my 5 & 8 y/o sons). However, when I put it up, I used TWO of the LARGE command strips on EACH of the brackets holding the big tower. It hasn't budged a millimeter! My boys have been seriously abusing it for about 3 weeks now, and it's still solid and secure to the wall.

Now... I must say, it DOES jam with large or odd-shaped cars. Some cars don't make the jump or the sharp curve and fall off. Some cars get munched by the monster and fall out the bottom. But that's what ALL Hot Wheels tracks are like! That's the FUN part! Some cars just don't work - it's designed to work with *most* cars, and this one indeed works with *most* cars. My boys have only found about 3 or 4 cars that won't go up the tower. Or sometimes they'll send too many cars to the...
Cool idea, but it doesn't hold up.
My 8 year old saw this and thought it was the coolest thing ever. He spent his own money to buy it. We brought it home, and followed all the directions for installation. We even waited longer than the recommended hour after putting up the 3M adhesive brackets before hanging the track on the wall.

It lasted 10 minutes. One of the moving parts began catching on the center spiral tower and then the whole thing came crashing down off the wall. Only one of the 3M adhesives held.

I expected better results from both 3M and Mattel.

We're not sure what we will do next. Mattel will be called on Monday. We are even considering getting out the power drill and some screws to try to salvage it. Or maybe doubling up with extra 3M strips.

This toy is a great concept, but I don't think they tested it enough before putting it in stores.
FUN TOY!
This is a fun toy, we bought it for our 3 year old and he loves it and everything else "hot wheels". It was really simple to put together but there are a few flimsy peices and sometimes the cars get flipped upside down and jammed when they reach the bottom spiral so thats the only reason I gave it the rating I did but once we got it up on the wall I think I had more fun playing with this than he did and I'm the mom so that tells ya this really is easy and fun!

Bruder Man Tga Tow Truck With Cross Country Vehicle

Much better than expected
I bought this toy for my twin boys for Christmas. They love it! It has lots of working/moving parts, well constructed and the wheels roll amazingly smooth. They have already spent hours and hours playing with it. My husband likes playing with it too. We got a few other Bruder trucks and are just as pleased with them also.
Flimsy truck - not up to Bruder standards
We are big fans of the Bruder trucks for our 3-year old son. Most of them are built of thick, durable, high quality plastic, and have interesting moving parts. We have the cement mixer, the recycling truck, the excavator, the crane and a few others. We highly recommend all of those. They are extremely durable and our son plays with them for hours. However, this particular Bruder item is not up to standards, and is somewhat flimsy. The plastic is either a different material or thinner than what we have come to expect from Bruder. The various attachments such as the chains and the wheel wells for the flatbed are also flimsy. Perhaps Bruder is experimenting with outsourcing to China, or just made some bad decisions with respect to this particular product.

We used to buy Bruder based on pictures on the internet. But now we feel we need to go to the store and poke and prod the product prior to purchasing to make sure the same designers / manfuacturing facility...
Too hard for the younger ones, too boring for the older ones.
Made well, but hasn't held anyone's interest for too long. Our youngest boy can't see how it goes together, and oldest doesn't care about it at all. (Almost 4 and 6 years old). The winch can't really handle the weight of the Jeep, and does project or retract well. External parts don't stay on well either. It gets some play from time to time, but it is too frustrating and doesn't work well enough to play with long. It's marginal.

Ertl John Deere Animal Sounds Hay Ride

Good Classic Toy Fun
This is a cute toy. My young son loves to push it around and hear the "Old McDonald" tune play. Each animal can be pressed to hear their animal sounds. Each barn yard animal can be taken out to be played with individually too. This toy goes great with the Fisher Price Little People Farm set. My son uses his with his farm set. THe only recommendation I can make to this toy is that it would have been neater if the song had the lyrics to teach the child the song. It is only a brief part of the tune that plays. Depending upon which animal is pressed, during the song that animal's sound will join the tune. That's cute.
Baby's favorite toy
My daughter received this toy when she turned one. She has loved playing with it. Even though she has lost the sheep, at 26 months, it is still one of her favorite toys. Our son at 7 months likes to play with it also. Plays old mcdonald tune and each of the animal's sounds. I would highly recommend this toy for a boy or girl.
This gets three "Tikka-tikka-tikka"'s
Whenever my 1-year old son gets excited by something, he says "tikka-tikka-tikka" and gets a huge smile on his face. This toy gets three "tikka-tikka-tikka"s.
