Conductor Carl 100 Piece Wooden Train Set. 100% Compatible with Thomas the Train. Plus FREE Conductor Carl Train!

Excellent train set, very happy !!
I looked around at a lot of different train sets.
We set this up for my sons 2nd birthday and he LOVES LOVES LOVES it !!
It's a very good sized set with lots of pieces and the build quality seems good.
My only dissapointment was the main train had a chip of paint missing, but I can forgive a small error like that.
I've seen this style of wooden track sell for $7.99 a piece in a retail store near me, so to get this entire set for such a good price,
was a no brainer.
I would suggest finding a method to stick the track down if you have a dedicated table to set it up on, because the track will come apart easily,
and that caused my son some frustration. That's not a fault of this brand, just to be expected with this wooden style track in general. I used basic wood glue, which is easy enough to undo if we want.

This is an awesome product and I'm glad we found it.
Great set but consider the following
For the price I think the set is great and quality is good. The following are not necessarily negatives but just things to consider when buying this item. This is my first train set I don't have other pieces already.

-Not enough straight pieces. This set is fine for my 3 year old as is but for an adult playing with a toddler or an older child you might want to get a few extra straight pieces so that the adult or older child has the option to build new layouts. As is you are extremely limited to variations of the pictured layout
-As other reviewers have said their are too many extra pieces ie. people, trees, buildings etc that I would have liked to be used towards track instead. However I should note that my 1 year old loves to bang the blocks together so they are getting use just not as buildings.
-The bridge is not good if you have a 3 year or younger child. It is very precarious and is a pain for the adult because you constantly have to fix it because...
Affordable wooden train set.
Got this for my son (2.5 yr) and he loves it. Currently I only give him the tracks and vehicles. He can build linear tracks but not loops. He especially loves the bridge and letting trains roll down. I was able to build a few closed tracks with multiple loops, so there's enough tracks pieces. I also got him a Wooden Thomas train and it's fully compatible. Overall a great value.

Orbrium® Toys 6 Arches Viaduct Bridge for Wooden Railway Track Fits Thomas Trains Brio Chuggington set

A good product, but not tall enough to work as a tunnel
This is a very sturdy and well crafted product. It would easily get 5 stars except for one glaring flaw: it's not tall enough. Yes, standard sized trains that can fit on its tracks can easily pass through the tunnels underneath, but only if there is no track. If you want to have the trains go through the tunnels on a track, it's simply too low. The designers should have made the product a centimeter taller. Users can get around this problem by taping a few legos or other items to the bottom to make it taller, but that's not very appealing.
Adds lots of new design ideas!
We bought this for our 4-year old who loves building train tracks. It is a simple, but great addition! He loves hills, so he was naturally excited about the bridge, but he also loves designing tracks to go through the tunnels! Made from quality wood and is compatible with the wooden train track sets.
Hours of fun!
I bought this for my 3year old train enthusiast. He is in love with this bridge because he can do it himself. The other bridges needed blocks under them to build them up. The bridge is sturdy and fits nicely in with all of our other tracks. We have all different brands of wooden track and the bridge works with all of them.

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway - Tidmouth Sheds

Perfect Roundhouse & Turntable
I bought this roundhouse for my son's 3rd birthday. The look and construction seemed fine from the product description. Other reviews had mentioned the 5 screw holes visible on each of the two sides that are not visible in the images associated with the product. Well, they're small and insignificant. I can see why the company would photoshop them out. It's not something you would want to draw attention to. There's no safety factor and I don't think my son notices at all.

My biggest concern was, will the large engines, Gorden and Henry, fit on the turntable with their tenders? It turns out that they do! Hurray!

The back is open enough to allow easy access to place the engines. The doors open easily. And the turntable operates easily as well.

Some other reviews had mentioned that it was odd that the center part of the turntable comes out easily. It does, it pops right out if you turn it over. It's held in the plastic part by gravity only. But I can see...
Turn table not wood
My son loves this shed, however I am very disappointed that the turn table (the grey part) is plastic, not wood. I have re-read the product description and it doesn't indicate that it is plastic. Also, the doors do not stay closed which is somewhat frustrating to my son. We plan to fix this with magnets, but for the price the entire product should be wood with magnets for the doors included.
Well built and sturdy but a little expensive
My 3 year old son LOVES the Tidmouth Sheds. I was apprehensive paying $60+ for an accessories but that all vanished when my son started playing with it. There's something about the Shed that really brings the wooden set to life and the children playing with it. I think it's because the trains now have a home which adds to the children's imagination. As for the quality, it's very well built and will last for years. The doors are pretty sturdy and haven't had any issue with them coming off. Overall I very happy with the purchase and my son is a thousand times happier and that what's most important.
